Sexual Misconduct and Violence Policy

Alliance University is committed to providing options, support and assistance to victims/survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and/or stalking to ensure that they can continue to participate in College-wide and campus programs, activities, and employment Alliance University will not tolerate any type of sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, or stalking committed by students, faculty, staff, or against any student, faculty or staff by any individual not belonging to the campus community.

All members of the Alliance University community should be treated with respect and be free from all forms of harassment and abuse regardless of protected class status. Sexual offenses in the State of New York are outlined under Articles 130 and 129 A, B of the NYS Penal Law. Sexual misconduct includes any sexual activity for which consent is not given. Committing such offenses can result in lengthy terms of imprisonment and civil action.
